شرح التطوع

التدريب أثناء التطوع

Explanation of volunteering
The volunteer project aims to create a safe space and learning environment for people with or without disabilities in mixed groups where we work using the horse as the main tool for integration and the creation of projects and methods. Volunteers will empower people with disabilities to be part of our community and participate equally, reducing the stigma associated with people with disabilities. Your role as a volunteer includes: Providing assistance to our social groups in the areas of circus, horse jumping, drama and dance. Be part of “ranch life” as you work around horses in harmony with nature. Follow the process in which horses play a huge role in developing the lives of many people in collaboration with schools, rehabilitations and various organisations. Establishment/implementation of social activities and logistics for other EU projects. Help the team strengthen the volunteer community and establish an international outpost in the countryside.

Training while volunteering
Training and Support: Upon arrival, volunteers will be supported to undertake a number of orientation visits to services run by the Volunteering Foundation. The volunteer organization will provide training on how to work with or around horses and with the target group – people with disabilities. The Swedish National Agency will provide training on access. Further support will be provided on a weekly basis through meetings and activity reviews. Volunteer Foundation mentors will provide support throughout the project and the entire process.

Acceptance criteria
Eligible participants are young people between the ages of 18 and 30 years. We are looking for someone who would like to live on a horse farm. You must be enthusiastic and willing to work in a dynamic team. We are different people with and without disabilities, sharing ideas and taking initiative. A background with experience in social, equine, theatre, dance, gymnastics, circus and horse jumping is an asset.
